FAQ

Getting Started

  • Call or email us to schedule an initial physical therapy evaluation, where your therapist will meet with you and your child to determine an individualized plan of care.

  • No, you do not need a prescription to get started. By California law, clients have direct access to be evaluated and treated by a licensed physical therapist without a referral from a physician. Clients are referred to a physician for diagnosis if the physical therapy plan of care exceeds 12 visits or after 45 days, whichever comes first. Your therapist will communicate with you and your doctor about obtaining a prescription as needed.

  • We offer services in your home or in the community, depending on what is most appropriate for your child. We provide services in the San Gabriel Valley, within a 15 mile radius of Altadena, CA.

  • We see patients by appointment only, though we are available to answer questions by phone or email Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Fees and Billing

However, we do provide superbills (billing statements) that families can submit to their insurance company for direct reimbursement. Do not hesitate to ask your therapist about this option and be sure to check out our quick guide to superbilling here.
